Lifelong Learning is Enhanced through Coaching
Oct 14, 2021One of the things I'm most excited about in life is learning. Every day is a new opportunity to develop myself in new and creative ways. Whether reading a book or an article; learning a new dance step; practicing a new technique for finger agility on the flute; having an interesting conversation with my 86 year old neighbor; or watching for new wildlife in my daily power walks in the nearby park. I never stop learning.
It's also an opportunity for me to take a look inward and think about the challenges I face and the not-so-good things about myself that I want to change. This is where coaching comes in. As I've earned my credentialing for ACC - Associate Certified Coach - I've not only learned how to coach others, but have benefited just as much from the transformational changes occurring within me. And, an added benefit, it meeting and working with amazing people from around the world for whom I'm grateful! This is a shout-out of appreciation for my coaching classmates and instructors with the International Coach Association. Thank you for enriching my life!
Coaching is a partnership that is an action-oriented and future-focused process. Your coach will listen, ask questions, and encourage as you explore what matters most to you. In my coaching I practice building three things:
Awareness: Together, we’ll unpack exactly what’s preventing you from being the leader you’re capable of being.
Knowledge: Building knowledge will only serve your knowledge base. It's important to take this knowledge and put it to practice in uncomfortable situations.
Action: It's not enough to cultivate awareness and increase your knowledge if you’re not putting it into practice.
Together, we’ll outline specific strategies for successful engagement to meet your one-of-a-kind needs and learn to develop proactive responses and identify key areas for focused self-improvement.
Now that you're here on my website, please take a look around and see how you can enhance your life through coaching and how you can open yourself up to new learning about diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence! I'm just a phone call away.
